Relationship Counselling for Parents in London and Online
About me
I’m Natalie, a COSRT registered Relationship Therapist in South West London providing relationship counselling for parents online and in person. I bring years of professional experience working in relationship counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and crisis intervention, across the NHS, private sector and third sector, including Relate. Alongside my private practice, I work in a therapeutic lead role within an employee wellbeing charity. Most importantly, I am a parent myself, so I understand the huge impact this role can have on relationships, identity, values, work and daily life.
My approach
I integrate a range of relational theories, including psychodynamic, systemic and attachment theory, alongside narrative and behavioural approaches. Together we’ll explore how patterns in your relationships show up, where they’ve come from and how you can do things differently. We’ll do this with curiosity rather than criticism, and with responsibility rather than blame.
Therapy with me is active and collaborative. I’ll listen with patience and sensitivity, while also asking questions to dig deeper and even challenge some ideas. We might experiment with practical strategies or exercises you can use in daily life to see what truly works for you. At the same time, our work will involve understanding and accepting yourself fully, including the parts you may find uncomfortable, undesirable or ‘bad’. For couples, going through this process together can bring about deep connection and long-lasting change.

Relationship therapy can help you reconnect, resolve conflict, and rebuild trust and intimacy. In our first session, we’ll talk about your goals for therapy which will give us direction and focus ensuring you have a tailored plan. Then, how much you get out of therapy will depend on how much you put in (e.g. attendance, openness, commitment to making changes), however, you might expect to come away with:
Deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions and actions
Stronger awareness of the patterns and cycles you get stuck in, where they’ve come from and how to break them
Calm, clear and compassionate communication
Ability to listen with more patience, sensitivity and openness
Strategies to reduce and resolve conflict
A sense of feeling like a team again, working together rather than against each other
Healing and recovery after loss of trust
Resolved issues around sex and intimacy
Restored sense of balance in roles, responsibilities and power dynamics
Respectful and sensitive separation (for those who’ve chosen that path), as well as a guidance on handling this as a family with your children
